Radars are used to identify and track fixed or moving objects.
Radars could also be used to develop a Traffic monitoring system.
Low cost Radars, Like used by Traffic police to control Speeding vehicles, could be installed at high traffic areas. Data from these Radars can be sent in Real-time to a Centralized Server where it can be analyzed using a Software Program and Broadcasted using Internet.
This information can then be used to divert Traffic to alternate routes in case of Traffic Jams.
Good Thoughts Rajesh.
ReplyDeleteJust to add on few basic ways:
- Enforcement of Lane driving.
- Enforcement of Car Pool.
- Enforcement of Speed Limit restrictions.
- Huge penalties for breaking the law.
- Implementation of Traffic Rules.
- Issue Driving License on the basis of Strict Driving Test.
Guys, Please add on more.
Regards,
Manu
Yes, I agree with your thoughts. But I believe only government can't do everything. we must have some will power and obey traffic rules, use car pooling etc.
ReplyDeleteI heared traffic police in Delhi has decided to put some micro chips on road to read the traffic rush basis they increase the time of traffic lights & I am assuming this will help.
